What we’re looking for

For our first Inbound collection, Hong Kong in/out of Love, we’re celebrating the best love poetry our city has to offer. Whether that love be tragic or felicitous, whether they’re translations or written originally in English, we want to read it all. Here are some love poems that inspire us:

• Yau Ching’s “Gap” (“缺”)
• Tim Tim Cheng’s “Boyfriend for Scale”
• Yam Gong’s “I have cheeks” (“我有面頰”)
• Tammy Lai-ming Ho’s “This may be a love poem“

How to submit

If you’re interested in submitting to our collection, you may send up to 5 poems, with a maximum of 15 pages, as a Word document. You may also submit poems already published elsewhere, but include which journals those poems first appeared in.

Please send the poems to editor@inbound-books.com. The subject line of your email must be “Submission – Hong Kong Love Poetry”.
